Night Rating Aeroplanes

Night-Rating
The Night Rating Qualification allows the Private Pilot to fly between “official night” and “official day” (30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise respectively). General requirements for a Night Rating:
  1. Age – An applicant shall be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
  2. Medical Fitness – An applicant shall hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate.
  3. Certificates – An applicant shall hold at least a current Private Pilot License.
Night Rating curriculum:
  1. Knowledge – An applicant will complete a course that includes a minimum of 10 hours night rating ground school.
  2. Experience – An applicant will complete a minimum of 8 hours of night flight time in aeroplanes.
